Tyler's Natural Disaster Project.
When Tyler was in Grade Five. He was required to do a project on Natural Disasters He Decided He would do His project on Landslide natural disasters as illustrated in the photographs below:

Tyler created this functioning model of a landslide using KNex toys. covering it with an old brown towel, to appear as dirt or rock. about 2/3's the way up the mountain he made a level platform that was hinged and hooked in position upright with a hook pin He would then fill the platform with rock chips Pulling the pin dropping the platform and rock chips down the face of the mountain He could then lift the platform replace the pin and load the rock chips back on the platform for another demonstration of a landslide. I was so proud of my son creating such a remarkably well planned functioning model to demonstrate so well a real landslide. repeatable. I wish I could remember what He used as the green on the mountain to represent trees, but the use of Monopoly houses and hotels was a nice touch.
